For this year’s Veteran’s Day, EA worked in cooperation with the Wounded Warrior Project during the American Veteran’s Center 13th Annual Conference, honoring those who have been injured in the line of duty. All the details surrounding the event can be found inside.

Every service in the Armed Forces operates at night.  Therefore all of the services are equipped with Night Vision Goggles.  We truly own the night.  Whether it’s on midnight patrol in a foreign country, or bringing in your helicopter into a “hot” landing zone for extraction, the use of NVGs is a life saver.

It was a cold Feburary flight in the US Coast Guard MH-65C Dolphin helicotper.  Myself and two former US Army pilots were flying from New Jersey to Florida in support of the last night launch of the space shuttle.

A thought occurred to me this morning: was Mr. Rogers in the military? It’s a well-known rumor has spread over the years saying he was, even going so far as saying he was actually a SEAL. When I looked it up, I discovered that he never served in the armed forces, but I discovered that several other celebrities have.

The weapon systems portrayed in Medal Of Honor are the weapons currently used by Tier 1 Operators in real world conflicts. The game developers have done a superb job in recreating the weapon systems including the insurgency equivalent.

In an age when air superiority can change the battle zone and the ability to place a two thousand pound bomb on a single building in a small town means keeping the local friendlies… well, friendly.

As with all things, perception is reality and the historic reality of the military seems to revolve around foul mouth roughnecks looking to find any reason to fire up the enemy but what if I told you that the stereotype is so far from the truth that many in the military and those that have served find it both laughable and insulting.
